I’ll let you in on a little secret. Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen seems to be only a love story, but there is so many more sub-plots going on alongside that.
I love to read. I got that from my mom, whose a big bibliophile. Since I started reading at the age of 3, I’ve inhaled more than my fair share of books. In fact, the summer I was 21, I counted the books I read- 53.
So, I like to read. I also like to write, but you knew that.
Pride & Prejudice is one of those books I’ve always been scared of, because its reputation precedes it as one of the best love stories of all time. In the case of moi, my push to read this is the fact that a woman I greatly admired and respected, a former boss of mine, touted this as her favorite book. I knew I would end up reading it sooner or later, but I started it recently and can hardly put it down.
There is something about the characters of Eliza and Mr. Darcy that would engage even the most reluctant of minds in their rapture. To inhale this book is to begin a love story with yourself. I would initiate that as soon as possible, and enjoy.
